Rooted in Wine is a locally owned wine bar and garden created by J and Renata, a North Carolina couple who brought their shared passions together after decades of working in different fields. Just 15 minutes from downtown Asheville, the space blends Renata’s love of plants and her beautifully tended wine garden with J’s lifelong experience in wine, offering a welcoming place to explore new bottles and enjoy wines by the glass.
With more than 200 curated retail selections and a rotating mix of local cheeses, jams, honey, art, and pottery, Rooted in Wine is a community-centered spot to unwind, discover, and feel right at home.

September 3rd - Wine Tasting
We’re excited to bring the wines of Ridge Vineyards to Rooted in Wine for a special tasting on Thursday, September 3.
Ridge’s history reaches back to the 1800s and the famed Monte Bello vineyard. Today, the winery is especially known for its Zinfandels and distinctive blends, along with Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Petite Sirah, Grenache Blanc, and other beautifully crafted wines.
For this special event, we’ll be tasting seven current-release Ridge wines, beginning with a sparkling wine followed by two whites and four reds. Guests will also have the opportunity to meet and hear from people closely connected with Ridge who can share more about the winery, its history, and the wines being poured.
Special pricing will be available on featured bottles purchased during the tasting, and light charcuterie-style snacks will be served.
Enjoy 7 curated pours for $40 per person, please arrive by 5pm so we can begin the tasting by 5:15. The tasting will conclude around 7 PM.
